Wisdom - More than just a word
James 3:17
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality and is always sincere.
One of my prayers that I pray in most situations (should be all) is: "God, give me wisdom, and understanding in this situation. Help me to make the right decision. May your will be evident."
This verse explains a little more about the spirit of wisdom. Wisdom that comes from heaven (God) is first of all pure - peace loving - gentle - submissive - full of good deeds - does not show favor - and is always sincere.
When making a decision - try to see if it will fit the above description of God's wisdom.

Unproductive? Ineffective? - You gotta read this...
Have you ever felt unproductive and ineffective in your life? With your relationship and knowledge of Jesus Christ? I know I have - you feel like you are standing still and treading water. This Bible verse spurs you on to do what is right. To keep pressing on and move forward.
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:5-8
It just helps you not to just stand still - but seek for more in your life. God will be your fullfillment - and you will find that when moving forward with these character builders - everything else in your life will seem fulfilled.
