Reflections - Past year + Christmas

What a special time we had for Baby's First Christmas. Hannah was so adorable. We thank God for His beautiful gift He has placed in our lives. We are so thankful she is 100% healthy and alive. As I reflect over this past year, many prayers have been answered - With the birth of Hannah - this has been made clear; God's hand is evident in our lives.

If you've been reading this blog for some time - you would rejoice with me - from reading posts of Maranda's doctor visits to the birth of Hannah - Many prayers have been offered. We are blessed with a great child.

Having a child of my own - sheds more light on the birth of Jesus. A soft, compassionate, understanding of the love that parents have for their child - Also knowing God the Father has bigger plans for their life - bigger than we could imagine.

Thanks for reading my thoughts - I pray God will bless you continually this upcoming year. Growing in God's Love - TIM

Back to Reality - Home from Disney World

A little update on our life.

We have returned from our vacation to Disney World. We left there Monday evening with 79 degrees and returned home to 10 degrees. What a climate shock. I miss the sunshine. Hannah was a perfect angel - she did so well on the plane. She loved the big character's - loved the colors - loved the lights. Always with a bright smile.

Psalm 33:6 6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.

God's Plans

Proverbs 19:20-21
20 Listen to advice and accept instruction,
and in the end you will be wise.
21 Many are the plans in a man's heart,
but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.

A verse in the word that may encourage you today. God's plan and purpose always prevails. You may feel stuck in a rut and going nowhere - Don't worry about your life and the plans that you may have - God's plan will prevail.

When I am weak, I am strong

Since I know it is all for Christ's good, I am quite content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor. 12:10

A verse of comfort and encouragment. When you are down and feel the world pressing in on you - take comfort, be content with your circumstance - because in Christ, YOU ARE MADE STRONG. Take heart, when you feel weak - God's strength will rise in you.

I pray that this will lift you up today... You are blessed!

~Meditations~: Worship song. . .

I found this webblog - when surfing - - But thought I'd share it as well. "God see's our beginnings, You stand at the end. And yet you remain..." How awesome is our God! Who see's our steps and observes our faults - and still remains faithful.

My prayer today:
Lord, I thank you so much for your love for me. I appreciate your grace and mercy. Thank you Lord for covering me with your blood and seeing past my faults - looking at me with your perfect love. Seeing the image that you created. Thank you Lord. I love you. - Growing in God's Love - TIM

"I've discovered this line in a worship song on a Israel worship CD & I think it's really beautiful:

And yet You remain....."

Isn't that neat?" ~Meditations~: Worship song. . .

The Ant and the Contact Lens

If you feel your life is full of heavy burdens - please read this... - I know life can sometimes feel like a load is on our shoulders - but we never know, we may be helping someone else. Be Blessed Today

---------------------

The Ant and the Contact Lens: a true story
Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens. "Great," she thought. "Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry."

She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there.

She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth."

She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me."

Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?"

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!

The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."

I think it would do all of us some good to say, "God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will."

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him....I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)

Lion of Judah

Here is a great song chorus that has great meaning and depth. I hope you enjoy. Rejoice today because our King reigns and is powerful. Our King is ruler of all. Creator of the universe. Mighty like a lion. Bold as a lion. Majestic as a lion. REJOICE!!

Chorus -Lion of Judah by Jason Upton

Hear the sound of the Lion of Judah
See the fire and the fear in the enemy’s camp
From the sound of the lion of Judah roaring again
There’s a new generation arising
A nameless, faceless, placeless tribe
All they fear is the fear of the Lord
All they hear is the Lion of Judah

All I saw were bones breaking in the darkness
Then I walked into the light
There I saw an army coming from the river
With five stones ready to fight

The Biblical Judah (in Hebrew: Yehuda) is the original name of the Tribe of Judah - traditionally symbolized by a lion. In Genesis, the patriarch Jacob refers to his son Judah as a Gur Aryeh גּוּר אַרְיֵה יְהוּדָה , a "Young Lion" (Genesis 49:9) when blessing him [1]. In Jewish naming tradition the Hebrew name and the substitute name are often combined as a pair, as in this case. As a result of the lion's link to the tribe of Judah, the dominant tribe among the ancient Israelites and the legendary ancestor of the Kingdom of Judah, Judea and the modern Jews, variations or translations of the word "lion" have been used as a substitute name for Judah (Yehuda) among Jews. An example is the name of Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel. Loew is a German/Yiddish word for "lion." The popular modern Hebrew name Ari (also Arieh or Aryeh) translates as "lion".

The lion is often assumed to represent Jesus. Many Christian organizations and ministries use the lion of Judah as their emblem or even their name.
A representation is derived from the Book of Revelation 5:5; "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof." curtesy of Wikipedia. Are you Tired, Stressed, Depressed?

Being or Feeling Tired, Faint, Fatigued, Stressed, Depressed, Weary, Weak, Exhausted - are all words that plague us as humans. Read Isaiah 40:28-31 below. You will find that God is the opposite. He never grows faint, never tires, and is never stressed. - And this is what He desires for you.

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
HE WILL NOT GROW TIRED OR WEARY,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
HE GIVES STRENGTH TO THE WEARY
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
BUT those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

We need to depend and rely on God for strength. Put your Hope in HIM. As the Word says: "He gives strength to the weary" - I want this to be an encouragement for you today. If you feel any signs of being tired, weary, stressed etc... - Look to God, the creator of your body, soul and mind for Strength and Power (energy). My words can't do justice for how much God cares for you and WANTS to give you strength. Don't doubt His word - It's real for YOU today.

Trust and Ask

Jesus said: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me". Luke 14:1

Jesus was comforting His disciples, His friends, His close companions -- Be encouraged today, He is also talking to you. He won't forget you - He won't leave you. Trust Him. I'm not just writing words to be writing here. I really do believe and know that He is always there for you. There ready for you to call on His name. A few verses down from the above says: "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." Luke 14:13-14.

Let that comfort your heart today. If you feel troubled, as Jesus said - Trust Him. Ask in Jesus' name what you need - He 'WILL DO IT'.

Don't doubt it - it's in His word -

Have a great day today,

Growing in God's Love,

TIM

P.S.-Hannah Grace is doing great - she is now 3 months old and progressing so well. She has a great smile. Just this morning - I fed her a bottle, changed her diaper - she was looking at me so intently -- she gave me a big smile; that sure melts my heart.
I believe we melt Father God's heart when we smile at Him. - He tends to us, takes care of us - feeds us - clothes us - and even cleans up our mess. Smile at God today... thank Him for His attention to us - He'll appreciate that.

Worship scriptures

If you've known me for a while you may know that I love to worship God. Here is a list of scriptures that are great pertaining to worship. If you are having a rough day - I can assure you that if you take the time to say a simple thank you to God for something good in your life - you will be uplifted. It may be hard at first to get your flesh (yourself) to make a sincere effort to - but get those first few words out - Thank you Lord for __________ (you fill in) - then continue on. You will be blessed in many ways. Your day will begin to feel brighter and you will soon realize how fortunate you are. Just something I thought would help your day.

Tempel 1 Comet Impact - FACE IMAGE

As you may have read or heard - The human race has made an advancment in knowledge pertaining to the universe. NASA on July 4th - aimed a projectile toward a comet (Tempel 1) - armed with cameras and other sensing devices straight into the center of this comet (23,000 mph). You can read more about it at http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/deepimpact/main/index.html

As I viewed the pictures and video on NASA's website - I made an observation that I've not yet seen posted on the internet -
I found an IMAGE OF A FACE on the Comet.
See for your self - The image has not be altered- only brighted for clarity. Image taken from NASA video - of object approaching comet.

Two Pots

I apologize for not posting my thoughts lately -- My attention and thoughts have been on Hannah Grace - as you can see from posting pictures... She is such a sweetheart - and now weights 5lbs. 4oz. - so growing very well!!

Below is a story you may have read in the past -- It's been floating around - BUT - Today, read it - and apply it to your life. We all get down on ourselves when we think of our weaknesses - God doesn't see it that way - He see's perfection - the way HE created us. Let our weakness be HIS strength. When we are weak - He is strong. Be blessed today -

TWO POTS

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them." "For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

To all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers, on your side of the path. - -

Please forgive our lack of communication - Hannah Grace is growing so well - At her last weight check she was 4 lbs. 8oz. - Gaining 12 oz. in less than a week. Originally the doctor thought that 4 oz. per week would be our goal - she has surpassed that expectation. God is truly awesome! He has given Maranda and I a precious gift and we are so thankful for His mighty hand on our lives. I sincerely thank you for your continued prayers - I KNOW they make a difference. Thank you.

Hannah update

Update on Hannah - Our first doctor's appointment outside the hospital. Hannah gained 3 ounces and now weighs 3 lbs 12 oz. - She is right on track where the doctor wants her - she is to gain 4 oz. per week - she has two more days to gain 1 oz. She definitly will do that. They increased her bottle size and now is taking 45 cc per bottle - totalling 13 oz per day. She is feeding so well - and is on a regular schedule. She is sleeping well at night now -- only waking for her feedings (every 2 - 3 hours). An adjustment to life and sleeping we are discovering.

Thank you for your continual prayers.

Keys to Wisdom

Here is a partial list of 101 tidbits on wisdom. In James God says to ask for wisdom and He will give liberally. We should only ask for wisdom if we really BELIEVE that He supplies it to us.

Check it out in James 1:5-8 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."

I pray that God blesses you today with WISDOM - in ANY situation - pray, believing that God will guide you and lead you in the way to walk. Trust Him. -

101 Wisdom Keys -(First 25)

11. You Will Never Leave Where You Are Unti1 You Decide Where You Would Rather Be.
12. You Will Only Have Significant Success With Something That Is An Obsession.
13. Give Another What He Cannot Find Anywhere Else And He Will Keep Returning.

Baby Hannah Update

Yesterday was 32 weeks for Maranda -- Hannah has beat all odds. God's hand has been powerful on this situation and I thank you for all your continual prayers.

Today is the BABY SHOWER!! The doctor originally thought Maranda would have been delivered by now -- BUT -- Maranda has remained stable and Hannah is progressing well. Much better than the doctor expected.

So we are overjoyed today - and celebrate Hannah - but most of all give glory to GOD for His gracious gift to us.

Thus Hannah Grace Moore will be born (doctor expecting to deliver Hannah at 35 weeks. Which is only three weeks away.

Hannah (meaning Gracious Gift from God) + Grace (to the point middle name) - GRACE...GRACE>>> Moore Grace!!!

Thank you for your prayers they mean so much to Maranda and I. We are honored to have such a powerful support system of BELIEVING prayer warriors.

Love is not Puffed up or Proud

1st Corinthians 13:4-7  "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, trusts all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

LOVE IS NOT TO PUFFED UP or Proud  - If we only could learn not to be puffed up - or PROUD when we are dealing with others.  If we could live in the humility of Christ and come to each other as servants and not act like we are better, higher or more spiritual than others.  Your HUMILITY reflects your love.   HUMILITY in all we do is priority in love. Pride gets in the way of true love.

Growing in God's Love - TIM

PS - Thank you for your continual prayers - Maranda remain stable and Hannah is progressing consistently - God's hand is on her life. Thank you again!

True Love: Love Does not Parade

1st Corinthians 13:4-7  "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, trusts all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

LOVE DOES NOT PARADE  - To behave so as to attract attention; to show off. We as the body of Christ need to learn NOT draw attention to ourselves.  As the Word says: don't pray like the heathens do standing on the corner - waiting to be noticed.  Don't ever think your better than ANYONE.  Jesus was actually speaking to the church.  They were the ones trying to show off that they could pray better than anyone else.  They were trying to seek position in the church.  But in the true church- WE as the body of Christ - We are to work together - not parading the gifts God has giving us.

True Love: Love Does Not Envy

1st Corinthians 13:4-7  "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, trusts all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

LOVE DOES NOT ENVY - have you ever felt a feeling of uneasiness in regard to (any one), arising from the sight of another's excellence or good fortune and a longing to possess it?  This is ENVY.  Love does not envy - we are to be CONTENT IN WHO WE ARE.  Not seeking anyone else's thoughts, possessions, gifts/talents, abilities.  God has placed what He wills in our lives. He didn't make a mistake when He made you. You are who God created you to be.

True Love: Love is Kind

2.  LOVE IS KIND - A situation may arise when we need to be KIND - considerate, friendly, warm-hearted nature, showing sympathy or understanding; charitable, agreeable; beneficial.  All these are the characteristics of being kind.  Whatever situation, even if you feel like you have the best advice for someone -demonstrate it in a kind way.  In a way that you know that will be beneficial for THAT person.  Not just to prove that you know better than they do.  Also in daily life - be kind to all.  Have kindness  inbred within your actions.  Let all your actions and words express kindness. That is the KINDNESS in TRUE LOVE.

Our doctor said "Hannah is beating the odds". That's not a surprise. God has His hand on her life. Thank you for your continual prayer - it is sincerely appreciated.

Love suffers long

1st Corinthians 13:4-7  "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, trusts all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

What is love? Let's look deeper in the Word.

1.  LOVE SUFFERS LONG - When we feel like giving up on us or on others - The Love within us needs to rise up and set it's feet firm planted - and say to ourselves - "self,  I'm not giving up today.  I'm going show commitment and steadfastness in ALL that I do.

NEXT - LOVE IS KIND

Thank you for your prayers - they are powerful -

WHAT is LOVE ???

In 1st Corinthians 13:4-7  "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, trusts all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

If the body of Christ would only embrace and live by these principles - we would be perfectly in His image.  GOD IS THE PERFECT REFECTION OF LOVE.

These are NOT EASY tasks to accomplish - but if we set our minds focused on God - they would be fruitful and evident in our daily lives.  The messes that we seem to find ourselves in with situations, people and daily lives - if only we could apply these principles to life, we would be so more better off.

In the next few posts I will go through each attribute of LOVE and give my point of view.

1. LOVE SUFFERS LONG
2. LOVE IS KIND
3. LOVE DOES NOT ENVY
4. LOVE DOES NOT PARADE ITSELF
5. LOVE IS NOT TO PUFFED UP / PRIDE
6. LOVE DOES NOT BEHAVE RUDELY
7. LOVE IS NOT SELFISH
8.  LOVE IS NOT PROVOKED
9.  LOVE DOES NOT THINK EVIL
10.  LOVE DOES NOT REJOICE IN SIN
11.  LOVE REJOICES IN TRUTH
12.  LOVE BEARS ALL
13.  LOVE TRUSTS ALL
14.  LOVE HOPES IN ALL THINGS
15.  LOVE ENDURES ALL

Hannah 28 Weeks

A great report from the Dr. today!! Great news!! The specialist looked over the ultrasound and everything looked good. Maranda's amniotic fluid was at the highest that it has been. And the blood flow to the baby was normal. The specialist has the opinion that if Maranda stays stabilized as she is now - that they will keep Hannah in as long as possible. His thoughts are that if she can make it to 36 weeks and stay stable they will reevaluate what to do then. He much rather have the baby be born later - as Hannah wouldn't have to stay in the ICU for a long period of time. He much rather see the baby stay with the mother.

The specialist says that the signs are pretty clear when to deliver the baby - but as of now - Maranda has no signs of needing to be delivered. Signs to look for in Maranda are constant high blood pressure (160/105+) or blood work returning showing damage to the liver or kidneys (Maranda shows no sign of that), or extreme headache which can produce seizure (absolutely no signs of that). Signs from the baby are lower amniotic fluid, low blood from to the baby, or consistent drop in growth. (Hannah has none of those). We are now in holding pattern -- believing that Maranda will stay consistent and no signs for delivery. So we will continue to be monitored closely.

We have another appointment with the specialist in two weeks where they will do a more detailed growth study - to see if she has dropped off her growth pace. He is not too concerned with her size - as long as she continues to grow. It was a lot of information and a lot of good news. Sorry if it seems a little scattered. We are very happy with this report.

Maranda has her scheduled appointment (twice a week) with our her regular OBGYN tomorrow. We pray that he takes the specialist opinion. I believe that he will.

Thank you for your continued prayers. I know that people standing with us in faith and prayer is making the difference with Hannah.

Yet I Will Praise You

Tonight I heard a great song - I pray that it ministers to you. Praise God in the midst of our troubles. "All things work together for good for those who love the Lord." "Come unto me, all ye who are weary, and I will give you rest."

Song Title: "Yet I Will Praise You"
by: Melissa Boraski

I will praise You, Lord my God
Even in my brokenness I will praise You Lord
I will praise you Lord my God
Even in my desperation I will praise You Lord
And I can't understand all that you've allowed
I just can't see the reason
But my life is in Your hands
And though I cannot see You
I choose to trust You
Even when my heart is torn
I will praise You, Lord
Even when I feel deserted
I will praise You, Lord
Even in the darkest valley
I will praise You, Lord
And when my world is shattered
And it seems all hope is gone
Yet I will praise You
I will trust You, Lord my God
Even in my loneliness
I will trust You, Lord
I will trust You, Lord my God
Even when I cannot hear You
I will trust You, Lord
And I will not forget
That you hung on a cross
Lord You bled and died for me
And if I had to suffer
I'd know that you've been there
And I know that you're here now
Even when my heart is torn
I will trust You, Lord
Even when I feel deserted
I will trust You, Lord
Even in the darkest valley
I will trust You, Lord
And when my world is shattered
And it seems all hope is gone
Yet I will praise You

WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING and the SPIRIT

{pregnancy update} - Maranda is doing great - her blood pressures have been normal - and Hannah's is kicking quite a bit. I have felt her numerous times. That is such a thrill. We are looking forward to the new addition to our family. We have been working hard on rearranging our home to make Hannah feel comfortable. (First time in my life to share a closet).

Our next ultrasound is next Monday the 21st of March. This will be the first ultrasound in Maranda's third trimester. We are looking forward to some great results. I will keep you posted.

Thank you for your prayers - they are so much appreciated. My heart sincerely says thank you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My word for you today is - GET WISDOM - and while you ask for wisdom, also ask for UNDERSTANDING. Let the SPIRIT of God lead you. If you need direction in a situation - ask for wisdom AND understanding. God freely gives these gifts to you if you just ask. Wisdom and understanding together are a powerful tool. You can make confident decisions about your life.

Proverbs 4:6-7 "Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.  Though it cost all you have, get understanding"

Another great verse on WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING and the SPIRIT: Isaiah 11:2 "The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him- the SPIRIT of WISDOM and of UNDERSTANDING, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD"

God is the true giver of wisdom - Look only to Him for your answers. When making a life changing decision: He will give you WISDOM to decide, He will give you UNDERSTANDING of the outcome, He will give you the SPIRIT to comfort you.

Baby Hannah - a poem by Tammy Cooley

I want to share a beautiful poem written by my sister for our baby Hannah. This is special.

HANNAH
You are so precious and small,
Your arrival is anticipated by us all,

We know you are in God’s hands,
Your life is ordained and already in His plans,

We’re praying you make your entrance safe and sound;
And trust God’s grace and mercy will abound,

You are fearfully and wonderfully made,
Our creator is to be worshiped and praised!

You rest now little one,
When you arrive we’ll have so much fun,

You’ll be taught all about Jesus,
The one that saved us, kept us and loves us,

You are a little miracle child sent from above,
You’ll be cared for dearly and truly loved,

Hannah, you are a gracious gift from God we know,
We can’t wait to watch you grow!
-Auntie Tammy Cooley

Thank you Tami - this will be cherished by Hannah and us. I pray God will continue to use you in the gift He has placed within you. With Love - TIM

Picking up the new - laying down the old.

Dear faithful readers,

I just wanted to write and be real today - I'm doing well. I woke up this morning with a new type of energy. I seem a little more focused and have a brighter outlook. Last night I started draining my old water bed - which in some ways was sad but also symbolized to me a new beginning. Strange as it may sound - but is the truth. I've put it off and put it off - but now that I've started it - I've realized that I had a hold on my old stuff. I didn't want to get rid of my stuff. But as God is giving us a new gift - I must lay down my stuff for God's plan.

We are preparing our precious Hannah a place to call her own. Furniture ordered and colors picked out - we are now embarking on making her room. This brings more of a reality to me. - picking up the new - laying aside the old. As we are to do in our spiritual walk. Laying down our old self (human desires, wants) and picking up God's plan (which is far more perfect). I hope you take what I've written today and apply it to you in your spiritual walk. Giving up your life for God's...

Be blessed today -

Stable is our God - Let's praise Him!

Let's take this moment and praise the Lord. Here is a great verse in the word that will encourage you to do so. He is so awesome - marvelous, excellent, compassionate.... PRAISE THE LORD

1 Chronicles 16:27-30

Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

God is so powerful - that His glory and His presence fills the earth - and "the world shall be stable, that it be not moved." - Remember that today if you feel that your life is a little rocky right now - HE IS STABLE.

Have a blessed day!

REMEMBER!!! A powerful weapon

"When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, `At home even the hired men have food enough to spare, and here I am, dying of hunger!" Luke 15:17

The story of the prodical son is a powerful example of restoration and reconciliation - but have you ever wondered what spured the prodical to want to return. HIS MEMORY!!! He remembered that His father had food on the table - He recalled that his father provided for Him. The bible says "When he came to his senses" - in other words - when he REMEMBERED.

Think and remember the things God has done in your life - recall the blessings - recall the victory's - recall the day He set you free. The enemy can't steal our memory -- let's use this tool as a weapon - When you remember and come to your senses of what God the Father has done for you - speak those things out of your mouth - proclaim your victory. If you feel defeated - I can confirm to you that if you speak and proclaim your blessings, your victory's - you will start seeing a change.

For me here are a few things that I can recall and remember how God has had His hand on my life:
- "Lord, you have been so faithful to me..."
- "God, I thank you for directing my life, I look back and see my steps being ordered"
- "Father, I thank you for your spirit comforting me, when I felt alone"
- "I thank you for healing my body - I remember a time, I couldn't hold food down and KNOW I have the victory"
- "Lord I thank you for loving me, when a lot of times I don't deserve it".

These are a few examples you could apply to your life - speak what God has done in your life - REMEMBER and RECALL. A lot of times the enemy tries to make you forget that God has done something in your life - don't let him steal your victory's - speak them out of your mouth.

Be blessed today! - Growing in God's Love- TIM

PRAISE THE LORD

If you feel a little down today - remember to PRAISE THE LORD - Life isn't worth worrying about - God tells us to lay our issues down at His feet. God is here for you - right now - lift your hands and surrender your worries to HIM - PRAISE HIM.

When clouds seem thick around you,
and troubles seem to drown you,
PRAISE THE LORD
When you suffer grief or pain
and you've prayed in Jesus' Name,
PRAISE THE LORD
When your prayers bring no relief
from your agony and grief;
PRAISE THE LORD
When someone says things that offend
remember this, my friend,
PRAISE THE LORD
When trouble comes in like a flood
remember you are under the blood
PRAISE THE LORD
When it rains or when it shines
when folks are mean or unkind
PRAISE THE LORD
When life goes into reverse
and things get worse and worse
PRAISE THE LORD

White as snow

What a snowy day here in Michigan - it's still coming down. As you look around today- (if you live in the white snow states) see the pure white snow on the ground. As I look out the window this morning - all I see is WHITE. God has washed over our hearts with His blood - making us as pure WHITE AS SNOW. Just my thought for today...

Here are things in God's word that are "WHITE AS SNOW"

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Daniel 7:9
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Matthew 28:3
His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.

Revelation 1:14
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

This may give you a new perspective on SNOW...

Please continue to pray for my wife- that her blood pressure remains stable. Thank you so much.

GRACE

I have not forgotten you nor this page. I come everyday praying that God will give me a special word for you. He has been silent in this area for a few days. On thing that has been in my mind is how God's grace is so awesome. With God giving Maranda and I the name of our child - Hannah - which means Grace or "Gracious gift from God" - It has painted a new picture of grace on my heart. Grace - God giving Grace - In my case, giving us a gift that we don't deserve. Grace first started with Noah and his family -in Genesis 6:8 "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD."

Recongnize it today...Grace is extended to YOU.

Glorify God in all you do

Galatians 6:9 "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time." If you read this verse, and others around it, it saying that we should live to please God and not men - If we live to please Him - then we will reap the beneifts of blessings. -Ask yourself the question - am I living to please God or something/someone else? Am I living to make a spectacle of myself? Am I promoting me or God?

A simple answer - Live life aiming to please God - Live life that directly glorifies God - and points straight to Him. Sometime this may be difficult at our human flesh likes to get in the way. We like to feel successful, we like to feel proud or make others proud of us.

I pray you will have a blessed day today - take it step by step - moment by moment - thought by thought - Glorify God.

Encouraged from the Lord

Do you need a boost? Do you need encouraged? Do you feel alone? I can tell you that God seems to always give us a spark of hope or encourament from someone or something at the right moment. At times in the past few weeks, I've felt like I was alone, tired, defeated, down- BUT... At the point of being low - GOD has always given me a short few words- either to me in a "still small voice" or a song that I've heard - or a stranger out of the blue will tell me to be encouraged. God is so faithful in letting us know that everything will be fine. That He is in control. That He is keeping His eyes upon us.

If you feel that way today - Don't give up - Count this, what you are reading, a sign a message from the Lord. Be encouraged - God is there for you - God has your life in His hand and control. You are not reading this by coincidence.

Who's report will you believe - We (choose) to believe the Report of the LORD!!!! Be encouraged.

It's a GIRL!!!!

Here is our most current ultrasound - taken today @ 1:30pm (17 Feb.05). Everything looks good to us. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning to hear the results. The technician was pretty confident that we are having a girl. We seen for ourselves and there's almost no mistake - It's a GIRL!!!!!

Now we start serously on our road of naming- I've been praying that God would reveal it to both of us. I feel strongly that names are important to who we are. God spoke to many people in the bible to what the name of their child should be.

A great scripture for today is: Isaiah 59:21 "As for me, this is my covenant with them (the Moores)," says the LORD . "My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever," says the LORD .

I pray only postive words flow out of my mouth- Power of life is in the tongue. LIFE!!

Note from Maranda

God is truly a friend and peacemaker. These last few weeks have tested Tim's and my faith, but we will prevail. We have chosen to walk by faith and not by sight. God's word to us is special and a promise that we will stand on and declare. (See Ezek. 16:6-14)

Tim has been doing a wonderful job taking care of me. He records my blood pressures, cooks me dinner, brings me my medicine, makes sure I am staying in bed, etc. He is taking care of me in sickness and in health. For people who know me I can be stubborn and not the easiest patient. :)

TIm has expressed his concern for prayer for me and I would do the same for him. It is not easy working two jobs and running a whole household almost on your own. I am very proud of the patience and endurance Tim has exhibited. I know he is only doing it through God's strength. Tim and I desire to be the best we can be. We check our hearts everyday and strive to be pleasing unto HIM. We look forward to becoming parents and truly count it a gift. I only pray that we don't make too many mistakes and that our child will truly have a heart after God.

Thanks for everyone's love and support. We love you!

LIVE - again I say LIVE!!

Thank you for checking back often - things have been up in the air lately and I've not written. I do appreciate your interest in reading my thoughts and expression of my heart. To start - Maranda is doing good - she had her doctor's appointment today at 11:30 - and I just got off the phone with her minutes ago - The Doctor was very pleased with Maranda and her progress. The doctor anticipated the blood pressure to increase as the weeks go by - Praise to our Lord, God - her blood pressure has stayed pretty much stable (a very good sign). The doctor will continue to monitor her twice a week until our baby/"gift" is born. Thank you for your continued prayers - pray that all will stay stable. Our foundaiton is Jesus.

I would like to share with you a word that Maranda receieved from the Lord speaking over our child. A promise that it would grow healthy, strong and beautiful. It is found in Ezekiel 16:6-14:

" 'Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood (blood pressure), and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, "LIVE!" Again I say LIVE!!! 7 I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew up and developed and became the most beautiful of jewels. Your breasts were formed and your hair grew, you who were naked and bare.

8 " 'Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign LORD , and you became mine.

9 " 'I bathed you with water and washed the blood from you and put ointments on you. 10 I clothed you with an embroidered dress and put leather sandals on you. I dressed you in fine linen and covered you with costly garments. 11 I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck, 12 and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. 13 So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was fine flour, honey and olive oil. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen. 14 And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign LORD.

What an amazing promise - We are standing encouraged and strong on this word the Lord has given us.

I pray you'll be blessed today.

Reap the blessing

Gal. 6:9 "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time."

I write this verse today, first for me - but I pray that you will be blessed. I needed the encouragement to know that I have the benefit of doing good. Not to give up and give in - but to let God work in me and give me strength to go on. Last night seemed to be my low - as I drove to clean the medical center - I was exhasted, bad headache - and felt low - I knew God would give me the grace to press on. So today -- God is telling me "Don't get discouraged and give up, I will reap the blessing at the right time..." This spoke life to me - it really lifted me up. In our current steps that we are walking - God is drawing Maranda and me closer to Him. I am so thankful for His apparent sheltering arm around us - embracing us with His fatherly love.

In your situation - what ever that may be - God is there...(even if you can't feel Him) - Don't give up - you WILL reap the blessing.

Have a great day- Thank you for your continual prayer for us. It is means a lot.

Baby Update - Thank you for patience

Dear all who are faithfully reading these posts,
I appreciate your patience during this time in our lives. I am so grateful for all your prayers. Prayers are powerful. Please, Please continue to pray for us. Here are a few things to pray for: Pray for rest and peace to drape over Maranda's shoulder's - and that her blood pressure will continue to stay at a lower constant. Our Dr. has ordered Maranda to stop her student teaching and focus more now on her health (which is far more important). We are fully relying on God to carry us - shield us - strengthen us - and heal us. He is so faithful. Pray for our baby - pray that growth will continue to stay on a steady course. (We have scheduled a formal ultrasound the 17th of February).

I truly am blessed to know that many are praying for us in this situation. It means so much to me.

I will keep this updated for more information.

I will continue to write more articles on Growing in God - and as I promised a series of "It's the heart that matters..."

The Catepillar

Presented by my good friend, Bill Hodi -

The Life of a Catepillar
A catepillar usually starts on one tree or bush and just pretty much eats what is around him, not going too far. Maybe another bush close by.  As he eats, his body starts to go into a metamorphis and starts to create a cacoon, in which he cacoons himself in.  While in the cacoon, a transformation takes place in his body, his appearance and nature.

Once the transformation is almost done, he then struggles to get out of the cacoon to be set free.  If you help him out and cut the cacoon so that he can get out, the butterfly will not be totally formed and will have small wings and a fat body.  He will not be able to fly and will still be hanging out with the other catepillars.  But when you let it struggle out of the cacoon, that struggle is forcing the fluid from its body into his wings, thus allowing him to fly when he gets out of the cacoon.  When he gets out, he will then fly off the branch and cross pollinate with other flowers, plants, trees, etc.  His territory has just been expanded to a much larger area and will take the nectar and pollen from one plant/flower, to another.

The moral of the story is that we are like the catepillar when we are baby christians.  We eat what is near us and don't wonder off too far.  As we start growing, God will start to develop and mold us into a beautiful butterfly.  But, in order to become this beautiful butterfly, we must go through the cacoon phase, which is allowing God to change us and mold into His image.  When we go through the struggles in life, God is building His character in us, thus creating something more beautiful than we started out looking.  We can then take what we learned and developed to other people, (cross-pollination), and help them go through their cacoon phase.  But if God stepped in and pulled us out of the cacoon too early, we would not become the butterfly that He wanted to create.  We will be deformed, and not fully functional to do God's perfect plan in our lives.

Get a Grip Wrap up

Today marks the official start of my new position - We will see how the day progresses - It can only be good. God is involved. I am expecting great things and am excited about this opportunity learning and expanding my skills. Continually keep me in your prayers and God leads me on new paths to set my feet.

As this week wraps up - I pray that God blessed you with encouragement on Getting a Grip on Life. Focus in our life is important and seems hard sometimes to find in our busy pace. A great verse in the Word is Matt. 6:33 "Seek FIRST His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these other things will be added unto you." Seek Him FIRST - then all the rest will fall into place.

Next week I'll be writing about - "It's all about the heart" - God wants us to be real - not foney's with putting on a 'show' for others. What are your motivations - Why do you do the things you do? I will expand further next week.

Have a great weekend - Relax...Get a Grip... Be blessed.

Get a Grip on TIME

The word 'TIME' has many meanings. When you hear the word TIME, does your mind instantly think - I don't have enough of it... or I can't seem to get anything done during the time of day...?

God has set TIME in motion from the very beginning of creation. God made the sun to rise in the beginning of the day - then set in the night to end the day. God set the clocks - God gave us the hours in the day...

One meaning in the Webster dictionary for TIME is: "An appointed, fixed, or customary moment or hour for something to happen, begin, or end."

Our TIME is appointed by God - He has a plan for us each and everyday. In this somewhat lighthearted topic of getting a new grip on life, I encourage you to get a new grip of TIME. Don't waste the day, don't waste the hours. God has fixed our day to have something to happen - BEGIN or END.

As this day progresses - Don't lose focus on your TIME. Get a new grip on life - Grab on to time. Don't despise it.

Our life is fastly changing with our child on the way--TIME will be an issue that we must face and realize that God is in control.

Be Blessed Today!!

A New Grip - Test and Trials

God is so worthy to be praised - so awesome - so magnificent - so great!!! In the midst of our trials - He is there prodding us along - telling us - I am here - I am making you pure and fresh - molding us into His perfect character. He peels back our human desires and human flesh to reveal His perfect creation. We are made in His likeness - we like to clutter that up with our stuff - He is straightening it all up to His perfect perfection.

In my trials and troubles I say to myself -- Stop being stressed and overwhelmed - realize that God is testing my character and producing a better me. As much as that seems difficult -- I have a deep down sense of peace and calmness.

James 1:2-4 says: Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. NLT

So I say get a new grip on life - know that GOD is producing excellent fruit in you to feed to others.

Be blessed today
I've realized that after two weeks of writing - God seems to be testing our word. What I write here on this page is usually what I've been tested in. Which is a great thing!! Our WORD is important.

Press Pause - Get a New Grip

Let's Press PAUSE on your life for a moment. Do you feel overwhelmed? Not enough time to accomplish all your tasks?- all your goals? Do you feel like life is out of control? Things slipping away...lack of motivation. Can't focus - Can't get anything accomplished?

Every once in a while - God wants us to get a new grip on life. He wants us to take a moment and regain our sight. He wants us to stop being BUSY (Being Under Satans Yoke)and just take a moment to rest - to regain strength. Hebrews 12:12 says: "So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs." (New Living Translation).

Picture yourself climbing a rope - just struggling to get to the top - tired, stressed, unfocused - God says: Get a new grip with your tired hands - Stand firm with your shaky legs. Do this and you will regain that strength - focus and motiviation.

While reading this short piece - take a moment and relax - step back and see what is lacking - see what is the issues your struggling with. Is TIME your problem?

I will continue with this theme this week.

PRESS ON

Where to start - in the midst of the month that was and is a tremendous blessing from God - this week has been one of struggle. But through what seems like a haze WE MUST KEEP OUR FOCUS. Maranda and I have agreed to not let these trials get us down. God is testing our faith, focus and fortitude. God is in the process of ________________________ (you fill in the blank).

Be encouraged and press on - press on - press on. The theme for this week - press on - press on - press on. In our case when our vehicle broke down and the bill came in - press on - when Maranda snoored many nights due to her cold - press on. On a more serious note - when you feel overwhelmed - press on.

Trust God in this - PRESS ON. The trials that He places in our lives are not given to put us down - but to perfect the work that God started in you. From my heart - Press on - Press on - Press on. Don't be down, defeated or depressed - LOOK UP! God is WITH YOU - not against you!! Be encouraged - put a smile on that face - Know who you are in God. You are HIS!!! A child of the King. Royality. Special. Blessed. - PRESS ON.

Hosea says it perfectly in Hosea 6:3 "Let us acknowledge the LORD ; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth." (take the time to be blessed to read Hosea 6 in full - You will learn how God has a restoration process in place FOR YOU.

Ultrasound picture

As promised - here is a picture of our latest ultrasound. A very good profile of our baby. Isn't the technology that God gave us great! We can see into the space where God knits us together. Psalm 139:13-15 "For you created my inmost being;  you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place..."

God has allowed us a peek into the secret place. There are still mysteries that we as humans have not figured out totally - relating to the development in the womb. There are periods of time when the developing child hides itself in the dark places of the womb where no man can see. God made us wonderfully - perfectly - everything in our body working together. How amazing...

I am currently working on a website devoted to our baby. I will post more details as more develops. mooreofbaby.blogspot.com

I pray that your day is blessed beyond measure - know that God is for you and not against you - know that God says that you are above and not beneath - No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.

Guess what...It's under control

I apologize for not writing any sooner -- My day started out unusual. As I backed out of my parking spot to leave for work this morning, my truck had mechanical issues. It's now in the shop being diagnosed. This did put somewhat of a damper on my day - but as I'm learning, God places these type of (or any, for that matter) trials in our lives to see where our focus is. No matter what the situation - no matter how things appear - our trust and faith MUST be with God. On the days that seem like everything is going great -and- more importantly on the days when things appear down.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Phil. 4:6-7 "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.". God has peace extended to us through all situations. I know that this is difficult - I struggled with that today - when things look down - YOU MUST KNOW THAT HE HAS EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL

As you may already know from my previous audio post yesterday - The ultrasound technician guessed and said that she thought we were having a GIRL. We know it was only a guess - so we can't paint the room yet. Maybe next time... (or God may keep us guessing). It was so refreshing to see our child moving and flipping - seeing the heartbeat - seeing nose, 10 fingers, 10 toes - I will post a picture from the ultrasound tomorrow. Check back to see more of our miracle.

Strength for your heart

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that HOPE in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

Do you need strength for your heart? Does it seem that everything around you is falling apart...? God says to be of good courage - HE WILL STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART - All that HOPE in the Lord.

Our society today says that the word hope is fickle - some say "oh, I hope that I can make it..." Really not believing that it can happen. But that attitude is NOT what God meant when He asks us to HOPE in Him. The Websters definition for HOPE is: "To cherish a desire with expectation of fulfillment".

When we HOPE we should be filled with the expectation of fulfillment - Really believe that it will happen.

So in the verse that I quote above - We should really believe that God will give us strength for our hearts. Have the expectation of His fullfillment in our lives.

I pray that you are blessed today - God is really moving in my life and others that I know around me. I will write further on these stories in the future.

My heart's desire is that these short posts will show you how much God really does love you. He shows us His love in a vast number of ways. Strength for our heart is just one example.

Most of you know that my wife Maranda is expecting. We are thrilled to be trusted by God to train up a child. This upcoming Monday - we will find out if it's a boy or girl with our 20 week ultrasound. I will keep you posted.

A great proverb for today - "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Prov. 22:6

More than the Sparrows...

Matt. 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

What does this say about our relationship between God and us? Do we really matter to Him? Does He actually care about me? Does my life concern Him? Does He think about me during the day? - The answer to all of these is a definite YES!

If we could grasp the significance of our lives to God - and take note that He REALLY DOES CARE - We wouldn't go through our day as if we are defeated - depressed - downcast - head hung low worrying about tomorrow.

God cares about you today - Keep that in mind as you walk the steps of your life today. Be Blessed - TIM

Intimacy with God

I contimplated with what to write on this day - so I will just write what is on my heart.
My heart is saying "Draw nearer to God" - I believe (I know) that is His desire for us. In our world of danger, wars, threats, daily struggles - where else can we find our peace and strength? Without having a intimate relationship with Almighty God - our life seems empty, alone and maybe even afraid. God wipes all that away in our responding to His love and His hand. God promised us: "Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you" - Today, I encourage you to seek God in a intimate way. In your own way - in either prayer, worship, serving others or any way you feel led. May your day be blessed in many ways! - TIM

As for the Tim's Tech Tip for Today - I would promote going to Apple Computer's website and looking at the new Mini-Mac. This will open the doors for many to owning a mac. What a great idea...

God's Vast Creation

God is Awesome - His vast creation spans more than we could ever imagine in our human minds. On the 14th of January a new discovery started in our solor system. The exploration of Saturn's moon, Titan began. Titan is the first moon to be explored other than our own. Check out the newest images that are daily coming back. SEE GOD'S GLORY

Psalms 19:1 "The heavens tell of the glory of God.  The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship."

My thoughts - As God is advancing the technology in our human ability - He is revealing more and more of His glory. God is continually amazing us. All the more reasons we should worship and honor God. Worship Him today. - TIM
